This was not easy, for me. I sat down to write my top ten favorite movies and immediately realized… I have about fifty. Narrowing it down felt like choosing my favorite child (luckily, I only had one). But movies? Movies have been my other babies comforting me, scaring me, making me laugh, and occasionally making me ugly cry into a family-sized bag of popcorn. Especially now being an empty nester.
I love movies that make me feel. I want to be laughing one second, terrified the next, and then suddenly questioning the meaning of life while I’m trying to hide the fact that I’ve run out of tissues and am using my sleeve. And let’s be honest nothing beats a good romcom. I could watch a clumsy, quirky girl fall for a broody man with great hair on repeat and never get tired.
But here are the ones that made the cut. To me, these are classics…when I just typed that I thought about 16 Candles 🫣
